This is the third and final volume of Brown’s Red Rising trilogy, following Red Rising and Golden Son. I love this book, but it’s an exhausting read. So much goes on in closing out the story line that it’s one of the most draining reads I can recall.
The sub-title of Morning Star should be ‘Nothing Ever Goes As Planned’, and it never does. The story is filled with tons of twists, turns, and reversals. I would recommend the entire series, but be prepared to spend a lot of time on this complex but satisfying story.
