One of my critique partners recommended this book to me a couple of months ago. I immediately put it on hold at my local library – I wanted to see what it was like before ordering my own copy. It didn’t take me long after I brought it home late last week to decide that I definitely need to get my own copy – and I need to get it quick.
Though it contains plenty of writing tips, The Emotion Thesaurus might be one of the most indispensable writing reference books available today. It provides lists of physical behaviors, internalized feelings, etc. for dozens of emotions. I plan on getting a paperback copy since I don’t think I could juggle between an ebook copy and editing manuscripts.
