About a month ago, I read Plot and Structure by this same author. That book was a much more intensive, nuts & bolts book on the craft of writing. The Art of War for Writers is a different type of book.

This book concentrates on three areas: what I call the philosophy of writing, writing tips, and approaches to publication. The contents of the book are split up into bite-sized chunks of information, typically 2-3 pages each. It’s an ideal book if you have a limited amount of time to read, spread widely throughout your day. On the other hand, you could also get through it in one day if you have enough reading time available.

I gave The Art of War for Writers 4-stars on Goodreads. It’s not likely that you’ll be able to put all of the information in it to use, but highly likely that you will find some information in it to either improve your writing or give you encouragement on your writing journey.
