The best live concert I ever attended was George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers, at Jesse Hall on the University of Missouri campus. Thorogood specializes in blues and boogie, at times borrowing heavily from Bo Diddley and Chuck Berry.

I first became aware of Thorogood when music videos from his Bad to the Bone album began playing on MTV. Here’s the video for Willie and the Hand Jive from his follow-up album, Maverick :

This is Thorogood’s biggest hit, Bad to the Bone :

From the Maverick album, here’s I Drink Alone:

Nobody But Me:

From his last album of the 80s, Born To Be Bad, this is You Talk Too Much:

Thorogood still tours today, playing many of the same songs that made him famous.

Feel free to comment below about your impressions of this or other 1980s nostalgia.
