The Dark Prophecy is the second book of Rick Riordan’s Trials of Apollo series. Zeus has punished Apollo by banishing him from Olympus and trapping him in the sixteen-year-old body of Lester Papadopoulos. This book follows Apollo as he tries to complete the second of a series of quests in an effort to earn his way back to Olympus.

While this volume stayed true to Riordan’s brand, I liked it better than The Hidden Oracle, primarily because Apollo’s voice didn’t come off as whiny as in the first book.

I gave The Dark Prophecy five stars on Goodreads and recommend it for all readers, provided you’ve read The Hidden Oracle first.
