The nation of Wakanda is under attack from without, and within. The title, Doomwar, gives away the main antagonist of the story line, but the plot is filled with enough twists and turns to keep any reader entertained.

These are a few of the things that really made this trade paperback edition enjoyable for me:

  1. T’Challa is not the Black Panther in this story. Instead, it is his sister Shuri who rules the kingdom of Wakanda and assumes the mantle of the Black Panther.
  2. The plot is a fast-paced, epic adventure that is packed with guest stars.
  3. The book includes the entire Doomwar story arc, plus another shorter series involving Klaw.

I gave Doomwar five stars – it hit all the high points I want in a graphic novel. I recommend it for all graphic novel readers.
