I haven’t seen the movie Django Unchained, but this graphic novel version is pretty good. Quentin Tarantino writes in the foreword that the original script for the movie was much longer that the version that was filmed. According to Tarantino, the graphic novel includes all the scenes from the beginning version of the script and because of this, the graphic novel has a complete vision of the story he wanted to tell.

I gave Django Unchained five stars – though it has plenty of violence and portrays many incidents of racism that may be disturbing to some readers. I’m undecided if I’ll make an effort to see the movie.
