This summer, my wife and daughter consented to watch the entire run of MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) movies. Early on in the series, I was inspired to put a couple dozen graphic novels on hold to sate my appetite for more superhero goodness. I started with Winter Soldier, the inspiration for the film by the same name.

This volume wasn’t much for suspense, as the foreshadowing of the Winter Soldier’s identity was done in a heavy-handed manner. However, it was still a fun read, and with a different plot setup than in the movie.

I gave Winter Soldier four stars, primarily because it did not include the conclusion of the story.
