This book had been on my TBR list for some time, so I’m glad to finally get around to reading it. Everything, Everything came highly praised, and rightfully so. It is very well written and has an awesome premise.

As I often do after finishing books, I looked up the one-star reviews on Goodreads for Everything, Everything. The main criticisms I found there involved insta-love and accusations of ableism. I don’t read a great deal of YA contemporary or romance novels, so the insta-love wasn’t a deal breaker for me – in fact, I feel it was pretty natural for Maddy to fall for the first guy she met. I can also see some validity in the ableism charges, but it didn’t affect my enjoyment of the book.

I gave Everything, Everything five stars and will be reading The Sun is Also a Star soon.
